A few years ago I bought this old pin-board at the Milnerton Stalls for R30. It was covered with red velvet and it seemed as though it had seen better days. I didn't know what to do with it just yet, but I loved the shape and the size.
Having friends over quite often, I was in need of a cheese platter that was big enough to display a range of cheeses, dips & crackers, and I needed to be able to move it around during the evening. This board was the answer.

I removed the Red velvet that was nailed onto the wood, sanded it down and varnished it, and voilà!

  1. Again, loving your eye for creating new from old. Brilliant!
