Everyone need those quick and easy go-to recipes that will ensure that everyone's mouths water, but will take very little time and energy to make. This recipe promises to wow your guests and keep them coming back for more.

What you will need:
4 bar ones
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
3 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
4 TBLSP cocoa
5ml vanilla essence
2 eggs
1 cup boiling water
1 tub cream

You start off by melting the cream & 2 chopped up bar-ones together, this will form the sauce that you use at the end.

Add all the dry ingredients into a mixing bowl. Next, mix all the wet ingredients together and add it into the dry ingredients. Mix well.

Pour into a greased oven proof dish. Cut up the last 2 bar-ones and randomly scatter into the mixture.
Microwave the mixture on high for 6 minutes.

I like poking the whole baked brownie full of holes before I pour over the sauce, as if helps the brownies absorb all the chocolaty goodness.
Serve immediately while it’s still hot with some ice cream to break some of the sweetness.

I recently moved into a new apartment. Slowly but surely it’s starting to become a home. As this is the first time in my life I’m living on my own I didn't have nearly enough furniture for my apartment. So I did what anyone in my position would do… I went scratching around my parents' garage.

Between the dust and cobwebs I found quite a few treasures. This Pin board had me very very excited. I needed something to display all my photos and this was the answer. As I always do I sprayed the frame white to give it a new look and here it is:

While sitting at the dining table I love looking at all the photos. They bring up so many memories and they remind me of how much fun life can be when you have such amazing people around you.

Next I found an old stool that belonged to my Dad when he was younger, so I sneaked it out, sanded it down and sprayed it red. He was not to impressed… whoops, but I love the outcome!

This basket I bought at the Milnerton market a few months ago. It also needed a new look, so… Yes you guessed it… I sprayed it white! What a difference!

Having my own little place is amazing and I'm looking forward to all the adventures (and blog posts) that the future holds, so keep checking in to see how this empty space is becoming my Home.

About 5 years ago I had a friend that moved to South Africa from Germany, she couldn't stop talking about this home wear store called Ikea. This store was apparently not only low cost, but it has modern home accessories and furniture, like we have never seen before… wow… I needed to see this store!! At the beginning of this year I went to Indonesia and organised a stop over in Singapore for a few days. As strange as this may sound, I did a bit of research before hand and found out exactly where their Ikea is, because I HAD to see this store. And so I did...

And I was not disappointed! While strolling through all the furniture settings I was on the verge of tears. I  could not believe I was looking at all these beautiful things that I will never be able to have (my bag was already full of all the shopping in Indonesia). To all the people in America and Europe that has access to Ikea, count your blessings..

After I returned I found out about a South African based company that imports Ikea products, Nevada Furniture. I went on their website and followed all the instructions and quickly made a shopping list. They were incredibly fast to send me the quote and I accepted. Ok... it did take time to get to South Africa (about a month and a half) but it was worth the wait.

I have a shelf in my bedroom which is always a mess, so I needed boxes to store all those annoying loose items. I couldn't find the correct sizing or design in South Africa and was just to excited to when it even worked out cheaper to import it.

When the items arrived in Cape Town I could easily go pick it up from their offices where they also have a showroom for those who would like to go have a look. I highly recommend Nevada Furniture, what a pleasure doing business with you!!
