CARDBOARD HANGING SEAT

A while ago I made a Side table from Cardboard Rolls that I collected from the office. It took a bit of time, but I decided to make this hanging chair. All that was needed extra was some rope.

I started by drilling holes in the rolls close to the ends on either side of the tubes. I then started stringing the rope through knotting the rope after each roll to keep the rolls a little bit apart.

Stringing it together didn't take to long. Hanging it in the tree did take some time though... I seriously need to work on learning how to tie knots.

With a bit of help I had it hanging and safe to sit on. Thank you to my beautiful sister for trying it out first...

GIVING MY OLD CHOPPING BOARD A NEW LOOK

Wooden Chopping boards.. got to love them! Yes plastic boards are great because they can go in the dishwasher, but it will never have the warmth and heart that a wooden chopping board has. I have a few in my kitchen and decided to give one of them a face lift.

First I drew the image I wanted onto the board, it took a couple of tries to get the image I wanted, but the pencil easily wipes off.

Next I burnt the image into the board with a soldering iron. The Iron gets extremely hot, so be very careful not to burn yourself.

Easy Peazy! You can also use this idea to personalize gifts. Think I'm definitely going to do this more often for birthday gifts this year! What would you use this technique for?
